The Samsung Lions announced Sunday that they have retained their own free agent catcher Kang Min-ho with a two-year contract, making him the first player in KBO history to sign four deals in free agency.
Kang, 38, surpassed the previous record of 2,237 appearances held by storied former LG Twins hitter Park Yong-taik, who retired from professional baseball in 2020.
Free agent catcher Kang Min-ho has opted to stay with the Samsung Lions, signing a four-year deal worth 3.6 billion won ($3 million) on Friday.
